A method of using an alleyway of a vehicle in an autonomous driving system, the method comprising: displaying, through a display unit, a map screen for displaying a list of alleyways that can be passed through to reach a destination; transmitting, to a server, a status request message for requesting status information of a specific alley included in the list of alleyways; receiving, from the server, a status response message as a response to the status request message; transmitting a use request message for requesting use of the specific alley to the server when it is possible to drive the specific alley based on the status response message; and receiving, from the server, a use response message as a response to the use request message. Including, wherein the alleyway represents an irregular road obtainable through map information, the status response message may include road information of the specific alleyway, and the use request message may include information about the vehicle.
