The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for training and evaluation of driving ability for an autonomous vehicle. A method for training and evaluating driving ability for an autonomous vehicle according to an embodiment of the present invention includes the steps of: (a) generating a virtual traffic situation; (b) acquiring an input for changing a vehicle driving mode from an autonomous driving mode to a manual driving mode by a driver according to the virtual traffic situation; (c) obtaining, according to the manual driving mode, a vehicle control input by a driver corresponding to the virtual traffic situation; and (d) calculating the driving ability score of the driver based on the vehicle control input by the driver.
