The invention relates to an apparatus for managing the registration and placement of a detonator, and a method therefor, the apparatus comprising: a detonator placement part which, when a detonator registration request is input by an operator, places the corresponding detonator in a detonator hole number according to a blasting pattern designed in advance according to placement information input by the operator, or places the corresponding detonator according to the placement pattern of previously placed detonators; a placement result analysis part which analyzes the placement result of the placed detonator according to the placement pattern of the previously placed detonators; and a placement error occurrence notification part provided to the operator when an error occurs according to the analyzed arrangement result.
