USE OF 3-(4-HYDROXYPHENYL)PROPIONIC ACID IN PREPARATION OF DRUGS FOR PREVENTING AND TREATING RESPIRATORY TRACT INFECTION

Novel pharmaceutical use of 3-(4-Hydroxyphenyl)propionic acid. It is proved through experiments that 3-(4-Hydroxyphenyl)propionic acid has a remarkable pharmacological effect on inhibiting respiratory tract infection, in particular on inhibiting pulmonary edema, inflammatory cell infiltration, and cell apoptosis in lung injury and delaying lung function degradation of mice. Therefore, use of 3-(4-Hydroxyphenyl)propionic acid in preparation of drugs for preventing and treating respiratory tract infection, in particular pneumonia, pulmonary edema or pulmonary epithelial and/or endothelial cell necrosis in lung injury is disclosed for the first time.
