Surgical removal of epileptic focus is a radical therapy, but in cases where there is a focus in a position that cannot be resected, radical surgery can not be applied.In addition, the use of a brain cooling device is indispensable for surgical intervention, so it is inevitable that patients have high psychological barriers.Therefore, the subject of the present invention is to provide a drug capable of suppressing or treating focal epilepsy without using a brain cooling apparatus without removing the epileptic focus.It is a control agent or a therapeutic agent for focal epilepsy with icillin as an active ingredient. It is preferred that the inhibition or therapy of such focal seizures include 1.0-5.0 mm of icillin or a pharmaceutically acceptable additive.
