A traffic signal controller configuration method and apparatus, relating to the technical field of signal controllers. The method comprises: displaying, when a configuration operation is detected, a graphical configuration interface corresponding to a traffic signal controller on a display interface of a terminal; receiving an adding instruction acting on a first configuration area, and displaying a second configuration area; adding a signal light identifier of a signal light corresponding to each lane to the second configuration area, and associating each signal light identifier with corresponding signal controller terminal identifier, intersection information and travel direction information; displaying, when an addition completion instruction is detected, a light time configuration interface in the second configuration area; and receiving a setting operation, and configuring the phase of the signal light corresponding to each lane by means of a phase control on the basis of the setting operation. According to the traffic signal controller configuration method and apparatus, the configuration process of the traffic signal controller is simplified, and the light time effect of the signal controller after setting is visually reflected.
