The invention proposes a method for monitoring the training of at least one operator in a system control station simulator (2), comprising the implementation, by a computer (10) in real time, of the following steps: - receiving data relating to the system status which are sent by a computer (22) of the simulator, - receiving (300) data relating to the gaze direction of the operator which are sent by an eye tracking device (25) arranged in the simulator, and - processing (400) the data received from the simulator and/or the eye tracking device in order to verify compliance by the operator with at least one system control rule.
