It can be used to rapidly identify the pre-surge modes of operation of the GTE for the timely application of existing anti-surge systems of the AC, which, when turned on in a timely manner, do not allow the failure or destruction of the GTE of the AC. The acoustic signals of at least one vibration-acoustic sensor installed in the compressor zone on the power elements are received. The amplitudes of the sensor signals are measured. The obtained amplitudes of the acoustic signal are divided into time samples, for which the central moments of the second and fourth orders are calculated, as well as the dispersion. Using the obtained data, the invariant of the distribution of the amplitudes of the sample signals of each sensor is calculated and compared with a given value. If the condition I≥2 is met for at least one sensor, where I is an invariant of the distribution of the amplitudes of the acoustic signal, a decision is made about the presence of a pre-surge mode of operation of the gas turbine engine and a signal is given for the use of anti-surge protective means.;EFFECT: increased reliability of determining the beginning of the development of pre-surge processes of aircraft engines, which provides increased time for the use of anti-surge protective means due to the early detection of the pre-surge mode of operation of the GTE.;1 cl, 1 dwg
