Masonry Composition Comprising Chemically Treated Carbon Pigment

There is provided a colored masonry composition comprising a chemically treated carbon black pigment to which an organic group comprising an ionic or ionizable group is attached, wherein the ionic or ionizable group is present at a level of ^{1.0 to 3.0 μmol/m 2} . The composition exhibits excellent color consistency and jetness and provides consistent color even after prolonged exposure to high levels of moisture.
