The invention relates to a method, a device and a computer program product with which the further course of a test route of a vehicle can be determined during a test drive. Both the loads already introduced into the vehicle and the loads that can affect the vehicle on subsequent road sections are included in the determination of the further test route. It is therefore possible for the test route to be individually tailored to the vehicle and a load target value that can be achieved with it. In addition, the fulfillment of the target exposure value can be ensured by adapting the test route at any time depending on the actual load entries and the expected loads.
