A vehicle (V) includes: - a service battery (BS) supplying electrically an on-board network (RB) via connections, and - a processor (PR) and a memory (MD) arranged, when a diagnosis of the service battery (BS) and its connections is requested, to perform the operations consisting in controlling the generation of at least two current pulses successive and having a profile chosen so that the service battery (BS) consumes a current, and during each pulse to be triggered at least one measurement of a current consumed by the service battery (BS) and of the voltage at the terminals of the service battery (BS), then determining a real internal resistance from these consumed currents and measured voltages, then triggering the delivery of a first alert signal when this real internal resistance is less than a first chosen threshold.
