Disclosed is a filter core comprising an Fe-Al intermetallic compound. The filter core comprises: at least two filter core components and a stiffening rib (9) transversely welding the two filter core components together. Each of the filter core components comprises at least two filter core powder tubes (2) comprising the Fe-Al intermetallic compound and a connection member weldingly connecting the at least two filter core powder tubes comprising the Fe-Al intermetallic compound end to end. Each of the at least two filter core powder tubes comprising the Fe-Al intermetallic compound comprises a base framework (7) and a surface filter membrane (8) disposed on an exterior of the base framework. The base framework is composed of pre-alloyed powder of the Fe-Al intermetallic compound having been pressed and sintered. The filter core comprising the Fe-Al intermetallic compound has the advantages of high precision, high throughput, low flow resistance, good backwash regeneration performance and excellent overall structural strength. Also disclosed is a preparation method for the filter core comprising the Fe-Al intermetallic compound.
