Provided is a material picking and feeding mechanism used for a display-panel macroscopic detection device, said material picking and feeding mechanism comprising: an X-direction linear motion module (20), its two ends being supported on the upper surface of a base platform (0) by means of a support frame and arranged spaced from the upper surface of the base platform (0); a Y-direction linear motion module (28), arranged on the base platform (0) and, beneath the X-direction linear motion module (20), comprising a Y-direction guide rail (281) and a Y-direction moving member (282) capable of moving along the Y-direction guide rail (281), the detection mechanism (14) being mounted on the base platform (0) adjacent to the front end of the Y-direction guide rail (281); a Z-direction linear motion module (19), extending in the vertical direction and connected to the rear side of an X-direction moving member (202), and comprising a Z-direction guide rail (191) and a Z-direction moving member (192) capable of moving along the Z-direction guide rail; a material picking assembly (18) is arranged on the lower end of the Z-direction moving member (192); a fixture platform (26) is supported on the Y-direction moving member (282). The picking and feeding mechanism can perform transportation of a display panel, and is conducive to automatic operations of macroscopic inspection of the display panel.
