FIELD: mechanical engineering.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of technical diagnostics of hydraulic brake systems of motor vehicles, namely to methods for determining the technical state of a double-circuit master brake cylinder by step-by-step diagnostics. The invention can be used in diagnostics of brake systems of wheeled vehicles in the process of maintenance, repair and manufacture thereof. The method consists in the fact that the car is mounted on the support rollers of the test bed by the wheels of the diagnosed axle. A sensor for measuring the force of pressing the brake pedal is installed on the brake pedal, the diagnostic test mode is set, and the force on the drive brake pedal and the braking force of the wheels of the diagnosed vehicle axis are measured. The force of pressing the brake pedal therein remains unchanged during the process of diagnostics. The condition of the elements of the hydraulic brake system is assessed at the section of the brake drive actuation wherein two characteristic points determining the beginning and end of the movement of the second piston of the master brake cylinder are identified, the position whereof indicates a malfunction of the elements of the master brake cylinder.;EFFECT: reduced labour intensity of malfunction identification in a hydraulic brake system and reduce amount of failures of the brake drive in operation.;1 cl, 4 dwg
