A video monitoring positioning method. The method is applied to a video monitoring system. The video monitoring system comprises a camera, wherein the camera is used for photographing a photographed target. The method comprises: acquiring the three-dimensional coordinates of a photographed target; calculating the world coordinates of the photographed target in a world coordinate system according to the three-dimensional coordinates; acquiring a first conversion relationship between the world coordinate system and a camera coordinate system, and carrying out calculation according to the world coordinates and the first conversion relationship to obtain the camera coordinates of the photographed target; acquiring a second conversion relationship between the camera coordinate system and the image coordinate system, and calculating the image coordinates of the photographed target according to the camera coordinates and the second conversion relationship; and acquiring a third conversion relationship between the camera coordinate system and a pixel coordinate system, and carrying out calculation according to the image coordinates and the third conversion relationship to obtain the pixel coordinates of the photographed target. By means of the mode, the position of the photographed target in a display screen can be tracked in real time, and positioning is accurate.
