To provide a method for analysis of rolling motion of a rotary body in which both of assurance of an analysis accuracy and reduction of a calculation cost can be achieved.SOLUTION: This method includes: steps (S100, S101) at which a surface shape of a rotary body T is a shape such that plural surface shapes, which become a minimum unit M, are repeatedly arranged in a circumferential direction CD, and a model, of which a calculation grid of a partial site Ar1 is so set as to be further fine than a calculation grid of other site Ar2, is acquired; a step (S103) at which analysis processing for rolling is executed such that the rotary body T is rolled at an angle corresponding to a minimum unit of N-pieces (N is a natural number of 1 or more); and a step (S105) at which mapping processing is executed for copying a physical amount of the calculation grid after the rolling analysis processing onto a corresponding calculation grid at the rolling start time. Until prescribed analysis termination conditions are established, the rolling analysis processing (S103) which uses the calculation grid after mapping processing, and the mapping processing (S105) after the rolling analysis processing are repeatedly executed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
