A welding, carburizing and quenching method for a large gear. According to the method: firstly, a gear ring, a center plate, a hub and a rib plate are fixed by spot-welding, wherein the hub is subjected to welding groove forming treatment according to a U-shaped weld joint with a truncated edge, and the rib plate is subjected to welding groove forming treatment according to a single-side V-shaped weld joint with a truncated edge, next, machining allowance is distributed, and symmetry welding is carried out; and then the welded parts are subjected to tempering treatment and enter, after welding slag residues are removed, a furnace to be carburized, welding of the end surface of the gear is completed, the welded gear is returned to the furnace and methanol and propane are dripped to crack activated carbon atoms, then quenching is completed, a steel pipe is welded, and finally flaw detection and shot blasting treatment are carried out. The method improves the use performance of the parts, and improves the oxidation resistance, corrosion resistance and pressure resistance of the parts.
