The present invention relates to a method for operating a spectrometer apparatus (10), comprising connecting (S1) the energy storage device (1) to a charging device (2), determining (S2) a first temperature (T1) at the spectrometer apparatus (10); determining (S3) a first reference spectrum at a reference material (RM) at the first temperature (T1); determining (S5) a second temperature (T2) at the spectrometer apparatus (10) during or after the charging; determining (S6) a second reference spectrum at the reference material (RM) at the second temperature (T2) by means of the spectrometer apparatus (10); comparing (S7) the reference spectra; and carrying out (S8) a compensation of the determined difference in a determined spectrum.
