PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a component supply apparatus, a component mounting apparatus, a component supply method, and a method of manufacturing a mounting substrate, which can efficiently replace a tray with an out of components.;SOLUTION: The component supply apparatus (tray feeder) includes: a plurality of pallet storage units for respectively storing pallets for holding trays in which components are stored; and a pallet placing unit, provided in a region different from the plurality of pallet storage units, on which an out-of-component pallet for holding a tray with out of components is placed, and capable of taking out the pallet outside. Then, the component supply method in the component supply apparatus includes: an out-of-component pallet moving step (ST11) for moving the pallet of out of components to the pallet placing unit; and a skip recognizing step (ST13) for recognizing that another out-of-component pallet can be moved to the pallet placing unit without replacing the tray held by the out-of-component pallet moved to the pallet placing unit.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6;COPYRIGHT: (C)2018,JPO&INPIT
