PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a component supply device, a component mounting device, a component supply method, and a method for manufacturing a mounting board, which can shorten the distance from a position where a component is taken out from a tray to a mounting point of a substrate. SOLUTION: A parts supply device (tray feeder 5) has a plurality of pallet storage portions 23 for storing pallets 24 for holding trays 7 in which parts are stored, and pallets on at least a part of an upper surface 29a of the pallet mounting portion. A pallet mounting portion 29 on which the 24 is mounted and a component is taken out by the component mounting device, and a protruding portion 28 protruding inward of the component mounting device with the component supply device mounted on the component mounting device. A pallet mounting unit is provided with a horizontal moving unit 26 for moving the pallet 24 held on the upper surface in the horizontal direction to move the pallet 24 in and out of the plurality of pallet storage units 23 and the pallet mounting unit 29, and a lift unit 27 for raising and lowering the horizontal moving unit 26.
