To provide a dredge method using a dredger.SOLUTION: In a dredge method using a dredger which includes a support drum that is mounted on a dredge ship, mounts a wire to a gib, suspends a grab bucket and winds a wire base end side, an engine that rotates the support drum by connecting its crank shaft to the support drum, a power generator for excess output recovery which recovers excess output of the engine and supplies the recovered output to a storage battery, and a motor for assist that supports rotational movement of the support drum by the engine, the motor for assist supports the rotational movement of the support drum by the engine in a winding step of the grab bucket, on the contrary, stores the excess output energy of the engine in the storage battery in a step other than the winding step of the grab bucket, operates the engine with high efficient fuel consumption at the number of rotation at the time of working of the engine so that its output is substantially constant, and the power generator for excess output recovery recovers the excess output energy of the engine and stores the recovered energy in the storage battery.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 12
