The invention discloses a procedure for determining the necessity of an action and/or a success of an action on a sensor in an alternate alarm maturity, covering the steps: moving the sensor towards a service chamber of the alternate alarm maturity; Analysis of an attribute assigned to the sensor, the attribute being a property of at least one section of the sensor surface and/or composition of a medium in the service chamber; and derive measures from the analysis. The invention also reveals a system with an alternating alarm matrix with a sensor and an appropriate analytical device.
