Disclosed are a color polyethylene cable material cross-linked by LED ultraviolet light, and a preparation method therefor. The cable material is composed of 100 parts of polyethylene, 0.1-1 parts of an anti-copper agent, 0.5-2 parts of an antioxidant, 0.1-1 parts of a ultraviolet absorber, 1-5 parts of a lubricant, 0.3-1 parts of a color masterbatch, 0.1-2.5 parts of a photoinitiator and 0.5-2.5 parts of a polyfunctional crosslinker. The present invention solves the limitation that the ultraviolet light cross-linked polyethylene can only be applied to natural-color cross-linked polyethylene wires and cables, and successfully develops the color polyethylene material cross-linked by LED ultraviolet light. The online crosslinking speed of the cable can reach 120 m/min, and all indicators meet GB/T 12706-2008, which can realize the high-efficiency industrial production of low-voltage wire and cable insulation.
