Provided is a car lighting apparatus for an elevator, having a small number of components, such that a dark region generated along a joint member supporting translucent plates can be reduced by irradiation with light from LED lamps. To achieve this, the car lighting apparatus comprises: a first LED unit in which a plurality of first LED lamps are disposed so as to face downward; a second LED unit in which a plurality of second LED lamps are disposed so as to face downward; and a translucent plate which covers the first LED unit and the second LED unit from below. The translucent plate is composed of: a first translucent plate which is disposed below the first LED unit; a second translucent plate which is disposed below the second LED unit; and a joint member which is disposed between the first translucent plate and the second translucent plate so as to support the first translucent plate and the second translucent plate. A light shielding wall for preventing the light emitted from the first LED lamp from reaching the second translucent plate is integrally provided on the first LED unit.
