PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator side plate fastening device and a fastening method, which fastens a side plate by less manhours, without entering all the way into the back face of the side plate of a cage of an elevator.;SOLUTION: This elevator cage includes a projection part having a bar-shaped member and a top part for extractably arranging the bar-shaped member at the end of the projection part. The projection part is inserted into a projection part insertion hole arranged in a first side plate, and the bar-shaped member is extracted. When the bar-shaped member is extracted, the projection part is deformed, and locks a fastening device on the first side plate. The top part of the fastening device locked on the first side plate is inserted into a large diameter hole of a fastening hole arranged in a second side plate, and is slid along a small diameter groove connected to the large diameter hole, so that the first side plate and the second side plate are fastened.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
