The electromagnetic wave detection device 10 includes an irradiation unit 11 , a first detection unit 17 , a storage unit 13 , and a control unit 14 . The irradiation unit 11 irradiates electromagnetic waves. The first detection unit 17 has a plurality of detection elements. The plurality of detection elements detects the reflected wave of the electromagnetic wave irradiated to the object ob for each irradiation position. The storage unit 13 stores related information. The related information is information relating any two of the elements defining each of the two points on the path and the radiation direction of the electromagnetic wave. The path is a path reaching the first detection unit 17 through the object ob of the electromagnetic wave radiated from the irradiation unit 11 . The control unit 14 updates the related information based on the radiation direction of the electromagnetic wave and the position of the detection element that has detected the reflected wave of the electromagnetic wave among the plurality of detection elements.
