PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a quantitative analyzer for selenium which is compact and has improved analytical sensitivity. SOLUTION: A separation unit 2 configured to separate selenium existing in the water to be analyzed according to chemical form, and an oxidizing agent for converting 0-valent selenium to tetravalent selenium are introduced into the water to be analyzed after separation. Color development configured to introduce the color former into the water to be analyzed after separation, which contains the oxidant introduction unit 3 configured to do so and the tetravalent conversion selenium which is the zero-valent selenium converted to tetravalent selenium by the oxidant. The agent introduction unit 4, the detection unit 5 having an absorbance detector capable of detecting the absorbance of the reaction product due to the reaction between the tetravalent conversion selenium and the color former, and the 0-valent selenium in the water to be analyzed based on the detected absorbance.
