The present invention relates to a composition for preventing and treating muscle strength or sarcopenia comprising an extract of Agarum cribrosum , and the extract of the present invention has no cytotoxicity and has excellent antimyostatin activity. Therefore, it can be usefully used as a pharmaceutical composition for strengthening muscle strength, inducing bone growth, or preventing and treating sarcopenia.
