To provide a drilling chip, a drilling tool, and a production method of the drilling chip with its hardness equal to that of sintered polycrystalline diamond body, which can be employed in mines for Fe production and/or Ni production and in a high-temperature drilling condition.SOLUTION: A drilling chip of the present invention comprises a chip body 1 provide with a tip part tapered off toward a tip side, wherein a hard layer 3 is formed on a surface of the tip part of the chip body, of which an outermost layer 4 is a cBN sintered compact with 70 to 95 vol% cBN particles. A presence ratio of cBN particles with a binder phase having a width of 1 nm or more and 30 nm or less between adjacent cBN particles is 0.4 or more when observing a cross-sectional structure of the outermost layer and the binder phase is constituted of two and more selected from carbide, boride, oxide, each of which includes either or both of Ti and Al, and these solid solutions, wherein an area ratio of total area occupied by area including C+O for area including C+O+B of binding phase components in the biding phase is 0.8 or more.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
