Band-Aids (1) for the reduction of itching and/or swelling caused by insect bites, where the Band-Aid (1) is manufactured by a process comprising the following steps:-Provision of adhesive-coated support material;coating of a substrate with adhesive suitable for bonding with human skin;-Pack the patch (1) to a suitable size to cover an area from which itching and swelling occurs;-Create a grid structure on the patch (1), so that it includes a majority of intersecting strips (2, 3); where:the adhesive is applied at a temperature of 90,C to 120,C for a period of five s to 60s; and/orthe adhesive is applied with a pressure of 3057 bar to 5095 bar, or with a surface pressure of 3,1 kg/cm^2 to 5,1 kg/cm^2; and/orBefore and/or after application of the adhesive, the patch is activated (1) by repeated irradiation of the underside by ultraviolet light.
