Combination therapy for treating multiple sclerosis

To provide methods for treating multiple sclerosis (MS) in patients in need thereof.SOLUTION: Disclosed is a method comprising administering to a patient a combination therapy of dimethyl fumarate and one agent selected from teriflunomide (or its prodrug leflunomide), fingolimod and laquinimod, in a single oral dosage form (e.g., tablet or capsule). This combination is more effective than the single agent alone, and/or has reduced side effect, has better tolerability, and/or can be given in a reduced frequency. Further, the invention provides a pharmaceutical composition comprising dimethyl fumarate and one agent selected from teriflunomide, fingolimod and laquinimod, and one or more pharmaceutically acceptable excipients suitable for oral treatment of multiple sclerosis.SELECTED DRAWING: None
