An apparatus, method, or computer program in which analyzer test data of a sample may be received for processing. The analyzer test data may include time-of-flight data in units of time and intensity of ionized particles moving through the flight tube. Analytical test data may be matched to a reference library to determine the characteristic information of the sample. The reference library may contain analyzer sample data in units of time and intensity of ionized particles of a previously stored reference sample that have been detected by the analyzer in the past. Analytical sample data has a known characteristic that the match is related to the received analytical system test data.
