The invention concerns a device to determine the unconsciousness of a vehicle occupant in a vehicle and a vehicle comprising such a device.Provision is made for a device (10) to detect the unconsciousness of a vehicle occupant (12) in a vehicle (14). Such a device (10) shall comprise at least one first tax and calculation unit (16) for the recording and calculation of:Parameters of a safety-belt system (18). A reference value is measurable and predictable and can be transmitted to a second control and calculation unit (22) of the device and/or vehicle.
