Z-axis accelerometer with increased sensitivity

Z-axis lash acceleration meters with embedded moving structures are revealed. The tilt accelerometer may have an embedded mass that is swung or moved outside the plane by the tilt bar. The rotating or moving mass may be positioned in such a way as to increase the sensitivity of the z-axis accelerometer by providing a greater z-axis deflection than that shown by the pendulum itself.
