A method for measuring the diameter of a pupil. The method comprises: acquiring a video to be detected, wherein at least one frame of image including pupils is present in said video; determining position information of M different feature points of a first pupil by means of a deep convolutional neural network, wherein the first pupil is any pupil of the pupils included in the at least one frame, and M is a positive integer greater than or equal to 2; and calculating the diameter of the first pupil according to the position information. By means of the measurement method, subjective errors from an experimenter and errors caused by a measurement instrument are greatly reduced, and calculation is simple, thereby improving the measurement efficiency and the accuracy of a measurement result.
