Transportation congestion prediction system and congestion prediction method

To provide a method for quickly forecasting and visualizing the congestion state both in trains and at stations for a large scale route network.SOLUTION: Information of stations, routes and trains of this system stores route information and diagram information of railway nets. Passengers demand information includes a plurality of pieces of trip data. One pieces of the trip data comprises number of moving passengers, departure stations from which the passengers depart, arrival stations which the passengers plan as destination stations and departure times when the passengers depart from the departure stations. A calculation server comprises get-on train estimation means which inputs the information of stations, routes and trains and the passengers demand information, estimates trains the passengers get on and adds the trains to each of the trip data and generates user behavior prediction information and a passenger demand information consolidation means which consolidates passenger demand information processed by the get-on train estimation means as a result of connecting the plurality of pieces of trip data. Processing, by the get-on train estimation means, passenger demands information consolidated by the passenger demand information consolidation means shortens calculation time for estimation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
