BCC materials of titanium, aluminum, niobium, vanadium and molybdenum, and products made therefrom

A new beta-style (bcc) titanium alloy is disclosed. The new alloy generally comprises 4 to 8% by weight of Al, 4 to 8% by weight of Nb, 4 to 8% by weight of V, 1 to 5% by weight of Mo, optionally 2 to 6% by weight of Cr, The balance is titanium, optional incidental elements, and unavoidable impurities. The new alloy can realize an improved combination of properties compared to conventional titanium alloys.
