METHOD, DEVICE, AND EQUIPMENT FOR LOAD SHARING IN BIT INDEX EXPLICIT REPLICATION NETWORK

Disclosed are a method, device, and equipment for load sharing in a BIER network. The method comprises: a network device acquires a BIER packet and determines, on the basis of identifiers in the BIER packet, a target next-hop node for reaching a destination address of a first BIER packet among multiple next-hop nodes of the network device. Then, the network device generates a target forwarding table on the basis of the target next-hop node and forwards the first BIER packet on the basis of the target forwarding table. The present application no longer performs load sharing of BIER packets with a control plane issuing a large amount of load sharing tables to a forwarding plane, but rather performs load sharing of BIER packets with a network device forwarding plane generating the target forwarding table; as such, not only is the control plane prevented from issuing a large amount of load sharing tables, but the problem of packet loss or extra packets when a link failure occurs also is prevented, thus increasing the effect of load sharing.
