ELECTRONIC SYSTEM FOR SYNCHRONIZING EVENTS WITH THE SOUND OF A MUSICAL COMPOSITION BETWEEN A PLAYER ELECTRONIC DEVICE AND A PLURALITY OF MOBILE ELECTRONIC DEVICES CONNECTED TO A MEDIUM-LONG DISTANCE TELECOMMUNICATIONS NETWORK AND SYNCHRONIZATION METHOD THEREOF

It is disclosed a method for synchronizing lyrics and/or notes/chords with the sound of a musical composition between a player electronic device (2) and a mobile electronic device (4-1) connected to the player electronic device by means of a medium-long distance telecommunications network (10) of TCP/IP type. The method comprises the step: a) of transmitting, from the player electronic device to a web server (3) of the medium-long distance telecommunications network, by means of a dedicated TCP/IP data communication channel, a first message carrying an initial nominal time position (P0) indicative of the initial nominal time instant in which to display a first lyrics line or a first syllable of the first lyrics line and/or a first note/chord on a screen of the mobile electronic device; it comprises the step b) of receiving, at the web server, the first message and generating a first universal timestamp (UTC_0) by means of a local clock of the web server synchronized with a universal clock, thus associating the first universal timestamp with the initial nominal time position; it comprises the step c) of transmitting, from the web server to the mobile electronic device by means of a dedicated TCP/IP data communication channel, a second message carrying the initial nominal time position and the first universal timestamp; it comprises the step d) of receiving, at the mobile electronic device, the second message and generating, by means of a local clock of the mobile electronic device synchronized with said universal clock, a time instant of reception (UTC_1.1) of the second message at the mobile electronic device; it comprises the step e) of calculating, at the mobile electronic device, an estimation () of an initial synchronization time instant as a function of the difference (Δ3) between said time instant of reception of the second message at the mobile electronic device and the first universal timestamp; it comprises the step f) of calculating a time position (P3) indicative of the current time instant in which to start displaying the lyrics line/syllable of the lyrics line and/or note/chord on the screen of the mobile electronic device, wherein said time position is calculated as a function of said estimation of the initial synchronization time instant and is selected from a plurality of successive nominal time positions (P1, P2, P3, P4, P5,... P11, P12, P13,.... P21), each nominal time position being indicative of a respective nominal time instant at which to display the respective lyrics line/syllable of the lyrics line and/or note/chord on the screen of the mobile electronic device.
