An environmentally friendly and energy-saving type medical instrument disinfection and cleaning device and a method of using same, the device comprising a device body (1), an air cylinder (2), a liquid storage tank (4), a liquid storage plate (6), a dryer (10), a supporting plate (12) and a purification treatment tank (16), wherein one side of the device body (1) is provided with an opening, an infusion tube (5) penetrates the interior of the opening, one end of the infusion tube (5) is connected to the liquid storage tank (4) in a communicating manner, a feeding opening B (23) is provided at an upper end of the liquid storage tank (4), the air cylinder (2) is arranged below the liquid storage box (4), a piston rod of the air cylinder (2) is connected to a push plate (3), the liquid storage box (4) is placed on the push plate (3), and the other end of the infusion tube (5) is connected to the liquid storage plate (6) by means of a high-pressure pump (24). The air cylinder (2) is arranged at one side of the device body (1) such that the distance between a high-pressure spray head (7) and a medical instrument can be controlled, adjustment is carried out according to the height of the medical instrument, and thorough cleaning is facilitated; and the high-pressure spray head (7) is mounted at a bottom end of the liquid storage plate (6), and a cleaning liquid is pumped by means of the high-pressure pump (24) and sprayed to the medical instrument from the high-pressure spray head (7) for cleaning such that dirt on the medical instrument can be effectively cleaned away, disinfection is carried out while cleaning is carried out, and convenience and rapidity are achieved.
