Disclosed are a smart-card timing light emission control method and a smart card, the method comprising the following steps: when a light-emitting timing control circuit performs a read/write operation between a smart card and a wireless smart card reader/writer, using an antenna to sense the radio waves emitted by the smart card reader so as to obtain electrical energy, and, on the basis of said electrical energy, driving the card to operate; when operating, using the control logic contained in the timing control circuit to control the light-emitting light sources of a light-emitting device on the smart card to emit light according to a preset timing sequence, said sequence switching the light-emitting state of the light source in units of a plurality of clock cycles, said light-emitting state of the light source comprising: light emission duration, light emission color, flicker frequency, and light emission brightness of different light-emitting light sources. The present invention ensures the original data read/write functions of the light-emitting smart card, while also controlling the light emission timing of the light-emitting devices on the card, enhancing the data display functionality of the light-emitting smart card.
