This ink injection cylinder is provided with a body section that comprises a first end and a second end. This body section is provided with a first channel tube and a second channel tube that extend in the longitudinal direction. The first channel tube comprises a first opening and a second opening, and a first channel is formed between the first opening and the second opening. The second channel tube comprises a third opening and a fourth opening, and a second channel is formed between the third opening and the fourth opening. At least one virtual plane, of a first virtual plane that at least partially encompasses a first end face of the second opening of the first channel tube and a second virtual plant that at least partially encompasses a second end face of the fourth opening of the second channel tube, intersects a plane that is orthogonal to the longitudinal direction. With this ink injection cylinder, formation of a meniscus in at least the second opening or the fourth opening can be suppressed, so the occurrence of a phenomenon in which the replenishment of ink temporarily ceases during ink replenishment to the ink tank can be reduced.
