The invention concerns a light blocking device and a corresponding light blocking panel for applications in agricultural buildings. The light blocking device comprises a plurality of overlapped flaps (20) spaced from one another at a certain centre distance (IA) to frontally define a pair of inlet passage (12) and outlet (14) surfaces for an air current; the first surface (12) is designed to face the outside and the second surface (14) is designed to face the inside, or vice versa, of an agricultural building structure where the light blocking device (10) is installed, the plurality of flaps (20) having longitudinal development characterised by a profile (21) comprising at least a wave-shaped curve (22-24), the flaps (20) defining with their longitudinal development a plurality of passage channels (16) for the air current which passes through said pair of passage surfaces (12, 14). The invention is characterised by the fact that the longitudinal development of the profile (21) of the flaps (20) comprises at least a pair of main wave-shaped curves (22, 24) orientated in a same direction and having different heights (H), the centre distance (IA) between the flaps (20) being substantially constant throughout their longitudinal development. The substantial asymmetry of the longitudinal development of the profile of the flaps gives the panel according to the invention a great versatility of use, where a high light blocking power LRF and/or a low pressure drop ΔΡ can be prioritised.
