FIELD: physics.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for irradiation of large-size targets with a proton beam of a synchrocyclotron. The target area is scanned by a beam due to periodic and multiple displacement of the target itself in two mutually orthogonal directions relative to the proton beam axis. Autocontrol of target movement and beam intensity is introduced according to a specific algorithm. ;EFFECT: high accuracy and uniform irradiation density of the target area of large dimensions, the ability to irradiate the target with a given irradiation density distribution over the entire area when targets with any topography are irradiated.;1 cl, 2 dwg
