A method and apparatus for calculating text similarity, an electronic device, and a non-volatile computer-readable storage medium. The method comprises: performing word segmentation and vectorization on a first text and a second text, respectively; for each word in the first text and each word in the second text, calculating and acquiring a mutual attention vector which represents a similar feature between said words and the text in which said words do not appear; and for each word in the first text and each word in the second text, calculating and acquiring a similarity value which represents the similarity between the first text and the second text. By using the described method, the accuracy of text similarity calculations may be improved.
