Provided are: a system and a method for examining a brain function from brain activity data; a brain state estimation device; a computer program; and a brain state estimation method.　Provided is a system including a function of classifying the brain activity data on a subject fluctuating in a space including a time axis, by using a time-series model in which learning data including a large number of solutions related to a brain function test is learned. This system may include a function of estimating, from the brain activity data, the spatial distribution, including the time axis, of a signal source indicated by the activity data, by using a model in which solutions related to a large number of inputs and outputs including the activity region and pattern of the brain, and may include a function of estimating the brain state of the subject, by using a model in which a spatial distribution, including the time axis, of the estimated signal source and the case are learned.
