The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for preventing, alleviating, or treating infectious disease caused by tuberculosis and non-tuberculous mycobacterial infection. The composition according to the present invention has a remarkable synergistic effect on Mycobacterium tuberculosis and nontuberculous mycobacteria and, particularly, on the inhibition of proliferation and growth of the strains of which the growth rate is further increased when the expression level of IFN-β, which is expressed in host cells of macrophages, is increased. Because of the effects, infectious disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis and nontuberculous mycobacteria, of which the main host cells are macrophages, can be very effectively treated.
