The invention concerns an electrotechnical slot arrangement with a number of parallel slots (16),to which an appropriate number of electrotechnical insertion elements (20) can be inserted. The insertion element (20) contains a number of contact elements (24) which interfere with the corresponding counterparts at the points of contact (16) of the insertion site arrangement. A special feature is that the insertion element (20) and the respective insertion point (16) of the insertion site arrangement are so formed,the appropriate design of the housing consisting of electrically insulating material from socket (16) and insert (20) results in a gearing at least in the area of a contact element (24) of the insert element (20). This allows the air insulation line for the contact element (24) to be extended and better insulation for a miniaturised construction.
