The purpose of the present invention is to highly accurately estimate the suspended load mass of a hoisting machine.　A hoisting machine for moving, in the vertical direction, a suspended load that is suspended, wherein the hoisting machine is provided with an operation information acquisition unit for acquiring operation information for the hoisting machine, and a suspended load mass estimation unit for estimating the suspended load mass of the hoisting machine from the operation information acquired by the operation information acquisition unit, the suspended load mass estimation unit estimating the suspended load mass on the basis of a suspended load mass estimation formula learned in advance using data in which the operation information and the suspended load mass are associated. It is thereby possible to perform an estimation of the suspended load mass that reflects behavior in the real world that cannot be modelled using a model-based method, making it possible to highly accurately estimate the suspended load mass of the hoisting machine.
