Sensor array (10) for measuring a surface or profile of an object (82), the sensor array having:-a base (12; 112), which defines a rotating axis (14),A probe head (20), which can be mounted on the base (12; 112) or on the base (12; 112), the probe head (20) relative to the base (12; 112) being rotatable or rotary in relation to the axis (14),at least one first brake element (32, 34; 132, 134),which is movable on the base (12; 112) or elastic relative to the base (12; 112) is deformable between a release position and an intervention position, the brake element (32, 34; 132, 134),if it is in the intervention position, with the probe head (20) in operation to block a rotation of the probe head (20) relative to the base (12; 112), and with at least the first brake element (32, 34; 132, 134) is movable or deformable between the release position and the intervention position in a radial direction relative to the axis of rotation (14).
